Organised for the fourteenth consecutive time by the Magnificat Institute of the Custody of the Holy Land, the piano competition is the oldest annual music competition in the Holy Land.

The objective is to find and promote young musicians who, in the near future, can start a professional carrier in the music field, performing and teaching in the Arabian society.

Indeed, in East Jerusalem and in the Palestinian Territories, applicants for the music school are more and more numerous, especially piano students.

The members of the jury come from local and international conservatories and collaborate with the Magnificat Institute in multiple ways, these are:

director of the Jerusalem
Conservatory (JAMD)
Fernando Scafati
and
Stefania Redaelli
from the
Arrigo Pedrollo Conservatory in Vicenza
Anastasia Dombrovska,
piano professor at the
Music College in
Al-Quds University
(the Palestinian University
in Jerusalem)
Andrea Vigna-Taglianti
teacher at the
Edward Said the National Palestinian Conservatory
The president of the jury
is the founder and general director of
The Magnificat
Fr. Armando Pierucci

 

Some winners will be invited to perform in concerts in Europe and the Holy Land.
